GDCL

GDCL was founded by Geraint Davies in 1996 to provide system software design and development. Since then we have concentrated on multimedia software, particularly DirectShow, and on WDM and Windows NT device drivers.

Our clients include Microsoft, VBrick, Philips Semiconductors, Mediamatics, Broadcom, Intel and the BBC. Our projects have covered the following technologies:

MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 demultiplexing and playback, analysis and content management, multiplexing and authoring

Support for H.264 encoding and decoding

DXVA acceleration

HD-DVD and Blu-ray navigation and playback

DVD authoring, navigation and playback

Video mixing and graphics overlay

Network delivery of video and data, and live playback using ATM, UDP Multicast and RTSP.
