GDCL

GDCL was founded by Geraint Davies in 1996 to provide system software design and development. Since then we have concentrated on multimedia software, particularly DirectShow, and on WDM and Windows NT device drivers.

Our clients so far include Microsoft, VBrick, Philips, Mediamatics, Intel, Psion and the BBC. Our projects have covered the following technologies

MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 demultiplexing and playback, analysis and content management, multiplexing and authoring

Support for H.264 encoding and decoding

DXVA acceleration

HD-DVD navigation and playback

DVD authoring, navigation and playback

Video mixing and graphics overlay
